Establishment and Analysis of Piglet Ulcerative Colitis Model
The aim of this study was to explore and establish a reliable model of ulcerative colitis induced by acetic acid in piglets.Eighteen healthy Duroc piglets were selected as the study subjects and rando mLy assigned to the control group,TNBS group and acetic acid group.Different reagents were injected into the rectum of each group after anesthesia, including normal saline,TNBS 50%ethanol solution of different concentrations and acetic acid solution of different concentrations to induce colitis lesions of different degrees. The clinical manifestations and fecal characteristics of piglets were recorded in detail during the observation period, and the piglets were slaughtered after 3 to 7 days of perfusion, and the colon tissue was collected for colon mucosal injury assessment. The results indicate that rectal infusion of 10%acetic acid can successfully establish the model of ulcerative colitis of piglets. This study aims to provide a stable and effective animal model platform for further understanding the pathogenesis, drug screening and treatment strategies of ulcerative colitis.
