Effects of Light Duration,Temperature Variation and Rainfall Factors on the Behavior of Captive Trachypithecus francoisi
In order to understand the effect of light duration, temperature variation and rainfall factor on the behavior of captive Trachypithecus francoisi(one male, two females). The behavior was recorded using the instantaneous scanning(5 min)method. The results showed that light duration was significantly negatively correlated with resting behavior(P<0.05)of male Trachypithecus francoisi, temperature variation was extremely significant negatively correlated with resting behavior(P<0.01),rainfall factor was significantly positively correlated with resting behavior(P<0.05).Light duration was extremely significantly negatively correlated(P<0.01)with resting behavior of female Trachypithecus francoisi, temperature variation was extremely significantly negatively correlated with resting behavior(P<0.01),rainfall factor was extremely significant positively correlated with resting behavior(P<0.01).This indicates that light duration, temperature variation and rainfall factors are closely related to the behavior of captive Trachypithecus francoisi.
