A Report on Genetic and Germplasm Resources of Qinghai Bamei Pig
In accordance with the requirements of the third national animal and poultry genetic resources census,the leading group of the genetic resources census of bamei pig was set up in our county,and the program and outline of the germplasm resources census of bamei pig from 2020 to 2022 were formulated,in accordance with the requirements of the plan and the time limit,the census team carried out historical tracing,population census,living habits,biological and ecological studies,and on the basis of accurate identification of different types of bamei pigs,the quantity,distribution,characteristics and the latest status of exploitation and utilization of bamei pig germplasm resources in Qinghai province were investigated,and the growth performance,reproductive performance and fattening performance of bamei pig were determined,the investigation report on genetic and germplasm resources of bamei pig was made by the determination of slaughter performance and statistical analysis,which provided scientific basis for reasonable utilization of bamei pig resources and breeding new breeds,it provides basic data for scientific research,teaching and pig production.
