A Case of Bovine Co-infection with Pasteurella Multocida and Arcanobacterium Pyogenes Diagnosis and Treatment
On December 8,2023,a dairy farm have 5~6 lactating cows flow thick nose, shortness of breath temperature, milk volume drops rapidly, and disease is infectious, cattle died, the dead cattle anatomical observation found dead cattle present systemic hemorrhagic disease, preliminary thought that bacterial infection, for further diagnosis pathogen, sterile collection cattle lung, liver, spleen, intestinal, blood, feces, nasal fluid samples pathogen PCR detection and bacterial isolation, the bacteria 16S rRNA amplification identification and mixed susceptibility test. The results show that the sample pathogen PCR detection multocidal and pyogenes positive, isolated two strains, after 16S rRNA amplification identified the two strains are multocidal and pyogenes, mixed susceptibility test showed that the two strains of spectinomycin, enrofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, ceftiofur, sensitive to kanamycin, amoxicillin, ofloxacin, polymyxin moderately sensitive.According to clinical and laboratory diagnosis, the outbreak was confirmed as a mixed infection of P.multiple bacteria and M.pyogenes, which provides a reference for timely and accurate targeted treatment measures.
