Common Ectoparasitic Diseases in Pet Dogs and Their Prevention and Treatment Measures
Pet dogs are susceptible to ectoparasitic infections such as fleas,lice,ticks,and mites.These parasites not only cause direct damage to the canine skin but also serve as vectors for transmitting certain zoonotic diseases.Therefore,the prevention and treatment of ectoparasitic diseases in pet dogs are crucial for both the health of the pets and public health safety.In view of this,the author briefly elaborates on common ectoparasitic diseases in pet dogs,including flea infestation,lice infestation,tick-borne illnesses,and mange,and proposes preventive and treatment measures to provide a reference for the control of ectoparasitic diseases in pet dogs.
