Investigation on Parasitic Diseases of Zhongdian Yak,Shangri La
In order to investigate the intestinal parasitic infection of yak in Shangri-La region,Yunnan Province,to provide a basis for the prevention and control of some parasitic diseases. This survey selected 15 yak feces samples and used centrifugal precipitation and saturated sucrose solution floating methods to detect parasites in yak feces samples. The results showed that the parasitic infection rate of Zhongdian yak samples was 100%,with 9 cases of nematodes detected and a detection rate of 60.0%;11 cases of coccidia were detected, with a detection rate of 73.3%.A total of 5 cases were mixed with nematodes and coccidia, with a mixed infection detection rate of 33.3%;There are 9 species of parasites in yak fecal samples, including 2 species of tapeworms,2 species of nematodes, and 5 species of coccidia. The survey results indicate that intestinal parasitic infections are more common in Zhongdian yaks, and it is necessary to strengthen the prevention and control of parasites in order to effectively improve the production performance and slaughter rate of Zhongdian yaks.
