Isolation,Identification and Virulence Gene Detection of Streptococcus agalactiae from Bovine Origin
This article monitored the prevalence of Streptococcus agalactiae causing mastitis in a large-scale dairy farm in Anhui and the virulence genes carried by these bacteria.Milk samples from affected cows were collected, followed by bacterial isolation, culture, and PCR identification,as well as homology comparison. The results showed that the isolated strains were Streptococcus agalactiae and carried three virulence genes:neuC,cfb, and cpsM.The research results indicate that Streptococcus agalactiae is the main pathogenic bacteria causing mastitis in dairy cows, providing a theoretical basis for the breeding management and disease prevention and control in the dairy farm.
