Analysis of the Morbidity Pattern of Caged Black Langur(Rhinopithecus Roxellana)
The aim of this paper is to explore the morbidity pattern of caged black langurs, with a view to providing scientific basis for the health management and disease prevention and control of this species.Through retrospective analysis of long-term monitoring data of caged black langurs at the Wuzhou Black Langur Conservation and Research Centre,we summarized the common types of diseases and their seasonality, age correlation as well as the effects of environment, diet and stress factors on morbidity by combining factors such as environment, diet, age and stress. It was found that infectious diseases, nutritional and metabolic diseases, digestive diseases and respiratory diseases were the main types of diseases in caged langurs, and that the onset of diseases was seasonal and age-related,and was closely related to the feeding environment, food quality and stress level.Based on this, targeted disease prevention and treatment recommendations, including improving the rearing environment, optimising dietary structure and reducing stressors, are proposed to promote the health and welfare of black langur monkeys.
