The OBE concept-based reform and innovation of the course Cow Production and Comprehensive Training
[Objectives]The path of reforming and practicing the course Cattle Production and Comprehen-sive Training based on the OBE concept was studied to train the technical and skilled talents with high-quality for the industry of farming mountainous cattle in Guizhou Province.[Methods]The status of studying the prac-tice of the OBE concept at home and abroad was analyzed.The provincial-level high-quality course Cattle Pro-duction and Comprehensive Training at Tongren Vocational and Technical College was used as an example to conduct practice from aspects including the value education,the structure of course,the requirements of skill,the hierarchical teaching,the design of homework,the system of evaluation,and the improvement of diagnosis and to answer questions including"What can students obtain?","Why should we obtain it?","How to help stu-dents obtain it effectively?",and"How to evaluate what they have obtained?".[Results]The application of OBE concept in teaching the course steadily improved the ability of comprehensive practice for students and the abil-ity of teaching for teachers.The monthly average score and classroom participation of students increased by 12.3%and 28.2%,and the one-time pass rate of skill assessment reached 92.7%.[Conclusions]The course Cattle Production and Comprehensive Training through practicing the OBE concept in course teaching,laying a foundation for studying the value-added evaluation and the hierarchical teaching in the future.But how to fur-ther effectively apply the OBE concept to design the content of teaching in vocational education,effectively im-prove the quality of teaching in vocational education,and how to use the OBE concept to reform the methods of teaching in vocational education are always on the road.
