摘要
太平天国运动对扬州造成巨大的破坏.咸丰兵燹后,两淮盐运使方濬颐主持了大规模的扬州战后重建工作,具体措施包括:整顿盐务、劝课蚕桑,重建名胜古迹、赓续风雅传统,创设淮南书局、续修扬州府志,整顿育婴堂、重建盐义仓.在战后重建的过程中,除经济和社会的恢复外,方濬颐十分重视文化重建,其举措对当时及后世产生了深远影响.
Abstract
The Taiping Rebellion caused havoc in Yangzhou.After the war in Xianfeng reign,FANG Junyi,the then Lianghuai salt commissioner,directed a large-scale post-war reconstruction in Yangzhou,including rectifying salt affairs and encouraging sericulture;rebuilding famous scenic spots and historical sites,and in-heriting fine traditions;establishing Huainan Press and resuming the revision of local chronicles of Yangzhou Prefecture;improving foundling homes and rebuilding the salt industry charitable granary.During the post-war reconstruction of Yangzhou,in addition to economic and social recovery,FANG Junyi attached great impor-tance to cultural reconstruction,and his measures exerted a profound impact on his time and future genera-tions.
