Effects of spraying parameters of the quadrotor UAV on droplets deposition distribution in the canopy of Koelreuteria bipinnata
This study aimed to determine the optimal operating parameters of the plant protection UAV for spraying the garden plants Koelreuteria bipinnata.A small quadrotor UAV was used to carry out the spraying tests and the deposition of droplets in the canopy of K.bipinnata was investigated. The results showed that the best operating parameters were a spray liquid volume of 750 mUplant,an operation height of 3.5 m,and an operating speed of 1 m/s.The droplet coverage density and deposition amount varied across different layers of the canopy of K.bipinnata, with the upper layer showing the highest coverage and deposition, followed by the middle and lower layers. The results of range analysis showed that the deposition density and droplet amount were primarily influenced by the operating speed, followed by the amount of spray liquid and operating height. The result of this study could provide a theoretical foundation for the popularization and application of plant protection UAVs on tall trees, and provide technical references for large-scale,rapid,and unified control of garden diseases and pests.
