Screening of biocontrol bacteria from wetland of Shandong and the disease control and growth promotion effect of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens JQ-3
The aim of this study was to investigate the potential of biocontrol bacteria from wetlands in Shandong province.143 biocontrol strains against Botrytis cinerea were isolated from 14 distinct wetlands in Shandong province.Among the strains identified, five were of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, four were Bacillus subtilis, one was Bacillus safe ns is and one was Bacillus nanhaiensis. These strains exhibited a significant antagonistic effect on Botrytis cinerea.Among the strains,Bacillus amyloliquefaciens JQ-3 showed the most pronounced inhibitory effect on the growth of Botrytis cinerea, demonstrating the potential to prevent grape from being infected with Botrytis cinerea. In the pot experiment,it showed an evident control effect against Sclerotium rolfsii, while also promoting root growth of peanut seedlings. In conclusion, the wetlands in Shandong province represents a promising source of biocontrol microbial resources, and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens JQ-3 could be further developed into a functional bacterial fertilizer.
