Preliminary study on the compatibility of six biopesticides with Metarhizium rileyi
The compatibility of Metarhizium rileyi Nr5772 with commonly used biopesticides was explored so as to provide a basis for the suitable mixing of the two for the control of agricultural pests. The effects of biopesticides spinosad, veratrine, matrine, pyrethrin, rotenone, and azadirachtin on the growth of M.rileyi were determined by measuring the mycelium growth rate indoor. The results showed that matrine exhibited the most favorable compatibility with M.rileyi, with an EC50 value of 324.12 mg/L.Spinosad also had good compatibility, with an EC50 value of 175.83 mg/L.In contrast, rotenone and veratrine exhibited poor compatibility with M.rileyi, exerting a strong inhibitory effect on the mycelium growth of M.rileyi, with EC50 values of 3.28 mg/L and 1.68 mg/L,respectively.The results showed that M.rileyi can be mixed with matrine and spinosad to enhance the efficacy. However,it was not compatible with the addition of rotenone and veratrine.
