Study on precise variable operation control method of orchard plant protection unmanned aerial vehicles
Deploying unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)is one of the most effcient ways to prevent and control pests. To address the shortcomings of imprecision and uneven application in the current plant protection UAV operation in orchards, this study integrates key technologies, including geographic coordinate acquisition, image processing, deep learning, and intelligent application control. An accurate variable control method for plant protection UAVs based on tree age and canopy density was also developed.Along the designated route, the UAV will adjust the spray volume based on the information on the tree age and canopy density, thereby avoiding the problem of insufficient or excessive application resulting from discrepancies in tree age and canopy density. This approach enables accurate variable application control, reduces environmental contamination, and improves the utilization of agricultural resources, thus enhancing economic and ecological benefits.
