Preliminary study on molecular identification and control of root mites on Atractulodes chinensis(DC.)Koidz
This study aims to clarify the species and damage of root mites on Atractulodes chinensis(DC.)Koidz,as well as the efficacy of Bacillus thuringiensis as a control agent on root mites in Shenze County,Hebei Province,a investigation and experimental trial were conducted. The damage causing by the root mites to A.chinensis was investigated using a five-point sampling method, and the species were identified using mtCO Ⅰ and ITS2 molecular markers. At the same time, the root mites on A.chinensis were controlled in the field with a Bt JQD117 aqueous solution. The results showed that the nucleotide sequences of mtCO Ⅰ and IITS2 of A.chinensis root mite in Shenze Country exhibited a high consistency with those of Rhizoglyphus robini, exceeding 98%and 99%,respectively.The morphological characteristics of the adult mites were also found to be consistent with those of R.robini.Therefore,the A.chinensis root mite was identified as R.robini.The damage rate of R.robini on A.chinensis was 7.0%-26.0%,resulting in a mortality rate of up to 12%for A.chinensis.The control effect of Bt JQD117 aqueous solution on the root mites of A.chinensis was 85.63%,providing a scientific basis for the green control of the root mites of A.chinensis in the future.
