Dynamic pattern of major pests in different tobacco-producing areas of Guangxi
To gain a deeper understanding of the occurrence dynamics of main pests in different tobacco-producing areas in Guangxi and to provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of corresponding pests,a filed census and systematic survey of the occurrence of major pests were carried out in Hezhou and Jingxi from 2021 to 2023.The results of the field census showed that there was no significant difference in the occurrence of Myzus persicae and Spodoptera litura between years in Hezhou, and the incidence of Helicoverpa assulta was significantly higher in 2022 than that in 2023.The prevalence of M.percicae in Jingxi was significantly elevated in 2022 in comparison to other years. The occurrence of S.litura and H.assulta in 2021 was significantly higher than that in other years. The occurrence of the three pests in the Guangxi tobacco-producing area did not show a discernible trend of increase or decrease on an annual basis. The systematic survey showed that the concentrated occurrence of M.percicae,H.assulta,and S.litura was observed in Hezhou during the period of early May and late May,early May to mid-June,and early May to mid-June,respectively.The concentrated occurrence of the three pests in Jingxi was earlier than that in Hezhou, occurring from late March to early May,early May and late May,and early May to early June, respectively. The results of this study clarified the occurrence dynamics of M.percicae,H.assulta,and S.litura in different ecological tobacco-producing areas of Guangxi, offering important theoretical significance for guiding future forecasting investigation and precise control for these three pests.
