Pathogen identification and fungicide screening for root rot in Allium cepa L.var.agrogatum
This study aimed to identify the pathogen responsible for root rot disease in A llium cepa L.var.agrogatum and to evaluate the efficacy of various control fungicides. The fungus was isolated from diseased samples using the tissue block separation method and identified by morphological and molecular biological methods.Fusarium oxysporum was identified as the pathogen causing root rot disease of tiller onion. The indoor toxicity of 19 fungicides to the fungus was determined by mycelial growth rate method.Among them, propiconazole, difenoconazole, hymexazol, myclobutanil and prochloraz exhibited the highest toxicity, with an EC50 value of less than 0.01 mg/L.These findings provide a scientific basis for the identification and control of root rot of tiller onion.
