The resin bonded diamond grinding wheel was made by using the same formula and production process with three different auxiliary abrasives,namely green silicon car-bide,black silicon carbide,and boron carbide.The effect of auxiliary abrasives on its per-formance was studied.The results show that green silicon carbide and black silicon car-bide have a higher effect on increasing the strength of grinding wheels than boron carbide;Boron carbide can improve the wear resistance and sharpness of grinding wheel,and can be used as a reference auxiliary abrasive for formula design.
