Diamond is the ultimate functional material with the greatest hardness,the grea-test thermal conductivity,the minimum compression rate,the widest transmittance band,the fastest sound speed,strong acid and alkali corrosion resistance,radiation re-sistance,high breakdown voltage,high carrier mobility and so on.It is widely used in in-dustry,science and technology,national defense and other fields.Doped diamond single crystal not only has excellent performance of diamond itself,but also endow diamond with new functional properties,which has attracted extensive attention of scientific re-searchers.Sulfur element plays a unique role in natural and synthetic diamond,not only sulfur itself can be used as catalyst in synthetic diamond,but also has a unique role in the preparation of metal catalyst properties.Sulfur doped single diamond crystal also plays an important role in regulating the inner color center of diamond and exploring the prepara-tion of N-type diamond.This paper mainly introduces the research progress in the synthe-sis of industrial diamond single crystals in iron-based sulfur-containing system and sulfur co-doped large diamond single crystals in our research group.
