The aventurescence effect is a special optical effect of gemstones,which is a scin-tillation phenomenon formed by the reflection of the internal lamellar inclusions.Re-cently,there is a milky white gemstone with obvious aventurescence effect in the interna-tional jewellery market.Through conventional gemological testing,combined with infra-red spectrometer,microscopic Raman spectrometer and other testing methods,it is be-lieved that the gemstone is a kind of quartzose jade,and its aventurescence effect is formed by the reflection of a large number of internal graphite inclusions.
