The passivation and dehydrogenation processes are analyzed experimentally for water lubricated bearing rings made of common high carbon chromium stainless steel G102Cr18Mo, and the proper passivation and dehydrogenation processes are determined for stainless steel rings. The corrosion resistant performance of water lubricated bearing rings is improved significantly, the hydrogen embrittlement is avoided effectively, and the hardness of rings is maintained.
