Optimal Design for Ribs of Inner Rings and Spherical Reference Surfaces of Rollers of Cylindrical Roller Bearings
Considering centrifugal force, gyroscopic moment, roller misalignment and lubrication between ribs of rings and spherical reference surfaces of rollers,a mechanical analysis model of cylindrical roller bearings under combined load is established.Based on this model, the influence of radii of spherical reference surfaces of rollers on contact characteristics and heat generation of the bearings is analyzed. The results show that with the increase of radii of spherical reference surfaces of rollers, the closer the contact point is to raceway surface, the smaller the maximum contact stress and the less the heat generation.Based on theory of bearing life, the matching and optimization of tilt angles of ribs of inner and outer rings and radii of spherical reference surfaces of rollers with different deviations improve the bearing life by about 34%.
