Optimization and Application of Safe and Fast Drilling Technology in Tieshanpo Gas Reservoir with High Sulfur
The formation dip angle above the Jiawu formation is large in Tieshanpo high sour gas reservoir.The leakage and collapse occur simultaneously in Ziliujing and Xujiahe formation.The Xujiahe Formation has strong abrasiveness.The drilling fluid is invaded by high-pressure saline water in the Jiasi formation.The leakage,over-flow and collapse occur simultaneously in Feixianguan formation.In response to the above challenges,this paper has carried out a research on drilling technology.Sulfur resistant materials suitable for casing strings,wellhead equipment,and drilling tools were preferred.The well structure design of the Tieshanpo block has been optimized,and tools for preventing wellbore deviation and improving drilling speed are preferred.Based on the above re-search results,the safe and rapid drilling technology for high sulfur gas reservoirs in Tieshanpo has been finished.The field application results show that the optimized sulfur resistant drilling tools,casing strings,and wellhead de-vices meet the requirements of safe and efficient development of high sulfur gas reservoirs.The problems of well leakage,collapse,and salt water intrusion in the upper formation have been solved by designing the structure of the four layer wellbore.At the same time,the well control risk of the high sulfur formation in Feixianguan has been reduced.The selected vertical drilling tools,drill bits,and rotary guide tools have significantly increased drill-ing speed of Tieshanpo gas reservoir.6 wells in Tieshanpo have reduced drilling cycle by 150 days in total.This research achievement provides technical support for the safe and rapid drilling of high sulfur gas reservoirs in Northeast Sichuan.
