Study on Key Techniques of Offshore Extended-reach Well Engineering for CO2 Reinjection
Carbon Capture and Storage(CCS)through CO2 reinjection is one of effective ways to achieve China's dual carbon goals in offshore oil and gas field. In view of the low pressure bearing capacity and poor wellbore sta-bility caused by shallow burial in the drilling of China's first offshore extended-reach well for CO2 reinjection, the difficulty of directional drilling trajectory control caused by shallow formation deviation, and the high require-ments of high concentration and high pressure supercritical CO2 for well integrity assurance, the"composite rein-forcement of wellbore"technology of drilling fluid system, the ECD fine control technology of shallow extended-reach well and the directional control technology of shallow high deviated well section have been formed, and sev-eral sets of CO2 corrosion resistant cementing slurry systems constructed through theoretical analysis, engineering design and scientific research, based on the previous design and operation experience of extended-reach well in the Eastern of South China Sea.The technical research results have been successfully applied to E-X well building with total depth of 3,709 m,horizontal displacement of 3,212.96 m and vertical depth of 894.31 m.The well-bore stability and well integrity were good, and met the relevant technical requirements. The research results show that the engineering technology experience of offshore extended-reach CO2 reinjection wells has been accumulated and the gap of domestic offshore CCS technology and its application filled.
