Reliability Analysis and Test of Rotating Control Device Test Equipment Frame
The Rotating Control Device(RCD)is a critical piece of equipment used in the drilling process to control wellhead pressure.It allows the drill string to rotate and move axially under wellbore pressure,ensuring the safety of drilling operations.Given its importance to drilling safety,the quality of the RCD is paramount.Therefore,strict factory inspections are necessary for the RCD.During these inspections,the frame of test equip-ment,as a core component,is crucial for the dynamic simulation testing of the RCD.This article elaborates on the design process of the frame,including allowable stress analysis,weld strength analysis,column strength verifica-tion,and overall strength analysis,to ensure the reliability of the frame.Through these calculations and analyses,the optimal structural parameters of the frame were determined.Additionally,stress tests,non-destructive testing and life test of pressure-bearing trip were conducted to verify the frame's load-bearing capacity and stability,ensu-ring the efficiency and accuracy of the RCD test equipment.These measures collectively guarantee the safety per-formance of the RCD in practical applications.
