To facilitate the replacement of steel wire ropes for tower cranes,a new type of automatic counting and winding rope cutting device for steel wire ropes has been designed.Firstly,the traditional rope changing method and the old wire rope cutting device were introduced,and the shortcomings and problems that need to be solved of the traditional method and the old wire rope cutting device were analyzed.Then,in response to the shortcomings of traditional methods and old wire rope cutting devices,a new wire rope cutting device was designed based on existing wire rope cutting methods and combined with construction site requirements.Finally,through practical verification,the new type of steel wire rope cutting device can improve the efficiency of steel wire rope cutting,accurately count,reduce the amount of bending damage to steel wire ropes,and meet the requirements of large-scale cutting and replacement of steel wire ropes.Compared with the original equipment,its performance is superior.
