Influence of Coal Seam Properties on the Force on the Cutting Teeth During the Operation of Coal Mining Machines
The coal mining machine is an important equipment for comprehensive mining in coal mines. The cutting teeth are components that directly act on the coal and rock, and are greatly affected by the coal and rock during the cutting process. The distribution of coal seams in our country mostly contains certain interlayers, and the location and thickness of the interlayers have a significant impact on the cutting force generated by the shearer teeth.MATLAB was used to model and calculate the stress changes of different cutting teeth in the coal seam with different properties. The results show that the maximum cutting force is generated when the gangue is in the middle position in both hard and soft coal, and the thicker the gangue, the longer the action time of the larger cutting force.
