Economic Analysis of Low Pressure Heating Supply for Start-Up Boilers of Gas Steam Combined Cycle Power Plants
For cogeneration units,in the electricity spot market environment, when there is a strong demand for power supply, the gain in grid electricity prices is a significant benefit, but heating prices generally do not increase with the increase of heating volume. When the electricity price rises to a certain extent, other methods such as starting a boiler can be considered to reduce the heat supply of the unit, increase the grid power of the unit, and improve the profitability of the unit.By analyzing natural gas prices, grid electricity prices, and start-up costs,we can identify the marginal revenue points of gas steam combined cycle cogeneration power plants using start-up boiler assisted heating operation mode, which can increase the revenue of cogeneration power plants.
