Research on the Performance of Heat Sinks in Fully Sealed Distribution Transformers
A method based on finite element simulation analysis is proposed to evaluate the internal pressure and heat sink stress of transformer oil tank during temperature rise,in response to the performance issues of heat sinks in fully sealed distribution transformers.Firstly,by calculating the volume of transformer oil inside the transformer tank and the density at different temperatures, the change in volume of transformer oil during temperature rise was obtained. Then, finite element simulation was used to calculate the variation of internal pressure with volume in the heat sink, and the change in internal pressure during the temperature rise of the transformer oil was obtained. Finally, the stress distribution on the heat sink of the transformer was calculated, and based on fatigue experimental data of the heat sink material, the fatigue life of the given structure of the transformer heat sink was evaluated. The results indicate that this method has a certain degree of reliability and is suitable for evaluating the performance of heat dissipation fins in fully sealed distribution transformers.
