Research on Lightning Protection Technology for Overhead Insulated Conductors in 10 kV Distribution Network Based on ATP-EMTP
In response to the problems of excessive induced overvoltage amplitude and high insulator lightning flashover rate caused by lightning strikes on insulated conductors in existing lightning protection technologies, this paper studies a lightning protection technology for overhead insulated conductors in 10 kV distribution networks based on ATP-EMTP.Firstly,determine the lightning strike point, calculate the maximum amplitude of electrostatic induced lightning overvoltage on overhead insulated conductors, and correct the overvoltage results based on actual conditions.Secondly, based on specific lightning protection measures, establish an equivalent model of ATP-EMTP tower, simulate the flashover characteristics of insulators using voltage control switches, and analyze the flashover characteristics of lightning strikes.Again, calculate the voltage of each node under the action of lightning current and the lightning flashover rate of the line under direct lightning strike. Finally, add lightning protection to couple the lightning wire with the conductor, calculate the overvoltage amplitude of the conductor, and complete lightning protection when the voltage amplitude changes. The results show that as the height of the conductor increases, the induced overvoltage amplitude of the lightning struck insulated conductor is 420.12~460.10 kV;The lightning flashover rate of insulators in each group remains below 30%,meeting the expected requirements, and the lightning resistance level of the line has significantly improved.
