New Method for Line Protection of Wind Power Distribution Network Based on Frequency Difference
Wind power is a clean and renewable energy in nature. The use of wind power can effectively solve the problem of coal and other fossil energy power generation pollution. However, due to wind speed fluctuations and other reasons, wind power generation has the characteristics of randomness, suddenness and uncertainty, which affects the reliability of three-stage protection action in distribution network. To this end, this paper proposes a method based on the current frequency difference at both ends of the line to ensure reliable operation of line protection, and establishes a model in PSCAD simulation software to analyze and verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the method. Results show that the protection method can operate effectively and reliably under different wind speed line faults and different types of line faults. And the fault location can be identified according to the protection action situation, with strong adaptability.
