Study on Enhancement Effect of Metal Oxides on Detection Performance of Methane Sensors
As an important component for detecting methane gas concentration,methane sensors are crucial for ensuring the safe application of methane.During the detection process,the catalytic combustion methane sensor can significantly improve its detection performance by introducing cobalt oxide as a catalyst.Cerium oxide supported cobalt oxide catalyst material with different content was prepared by impregnation method.After testing the specific surface area of the material,a catalyst containing 30%cobalt oxide was selected to manufacture a methane sensor,and a comprehensive performance test was conducted on the sensor in the testing system,including sensitivity,stability,and selectivity.The results showed that the methane sensor with added cobalt oxide catalyst exhibited excellent sensitivity,with a linear relationship between sensitivity and methane concentration.It also had good selectivity for methane gas and was able to accurately identify methane gas in complex gas environments.
