Simulation Study on Leakage of On-Board Hydrogen System Based on CFD
With the rapid development of hydrogen energy vehicles, the safety issues of onboard hydrogen systems are receiving increasing attention.Hydrogen gas,as a high-energy-density clean fuel, poses the characteristics of inflammable and explosive.Failures such as hydrogen cylinder rupture, valve damage may result in hydrogen gas leaks in onboard hydrogen systems. Therefore, the study utilizes CFD methods to simulate hydrogen gas leakage in onboard hydrogen systems under different operating conditions, observe the diffusion and concentration distribution of hydrogen gas, evaluate leakage risks, and propose effective preventive measures. The study found that the leakage rate and location significantly influence the diffusion and concentration distribution of hydrogen gas.If hydrogen leakage occurs in enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces, hydrogen accumulation and potential explosion risks may arise.Based on the simulation results, the study proposes a series of preventive and responsive measures for preventing and addressing hydrogen gas leakage in onboard hydrogen systems, providing guidance for risk control in hydrogen-powered vehicles.
