Research on Priority Compensation Control Strategy for BESS and SVG Parallel Connection in Wind Farm
Unstable power sources and load fluctuations in wind farms can lead to a decrease in power system stability.A priority compensation control strategy was designed for the parallel connection of a static reactive power generator and an energy storage device to address the limitation that static reactive power generators can only compensate for reactive power components. The harm of negative sequence components in the power system is often greater than that of reactive and active components. In order to maximize the capacity utilization of energy storage devices and static synchronous compensators, priority is given to compensating for the most harmful negative sequence components in the system during load fluctuations.Simulation analysis shows that by controlling the charging and discharging methods of energy storage devices, the system can not only compensate for reactive power, but also effectively suppress fluctuations in active power, achieving the goal of improving system stability.
