Analysis and Improvement of Brake Squealing Problem in a Certain Disc Brake
During the road test phase of a certain joint venture project vehicle model, during the initial brake noise evaluation process in the morning,a 2.9 kHz brake squealing noise appeared.Taking the disc brake of this project as the research object,a complex modal finite element model of the brake system is established, and the complex eigenvalue and modal vibration mode of the brake system are solved. The complex modal analysis results are compared with the ODS test results when actual vehicle noise occurs, and the MAC modal confidence factor is calculated to confirm the unstable mode corresponding to the brake whistling noise.Based on the theory of modal coupling, this unstable mode is analyzed and studied, and a solution to improve brake squealing noise is proposed.
