Lightweight Design and Application Research on Drive Drum of Mining Belt Conveyor
Taking the DTL160/330/3×1600 belt conveyor as the research object,based on an overview of the conveyor and transmission drum,a finite element model of the drum was established using UG and ANSYS software,and its stress and deformation were analyzed.It was found that the maximum stress and deformation were 133.64 MPa and 3.8237 mm,respectively,indicating significant redundancy in strength and stiffness.Lightweight design was carried out on the support ring,cylinder,and spoke,removing the volume of some areas and reducing the overall weight of the drum by 11.18%.Through finite element analysis of the new drum structure,it is found that the maximum stress and deformation have increased,but the minimum factor of safety is 1.79,which can meet the actual use requirements within the range of coal mine machinery standards.The new drum structure was applied to the belt conveyor,and after a year of practical application,the expected results were achieved,resulting in good economic benefits.
