Analysis and Treatment of High Load Low-Frequency Vibration on Gas-Steam Combined Cycle Turbine
This paper describes the process and characteristics of the occurrence of high load low-frequency vibration in a combined cycle unit turbine. It is diagnosed that the type of high load low-frequency vibration in the unit is steam excitation, and analyzed that it is caused by non-uniform dynamic and static gap under hot state. Some measures are taken, such as friction in operation and other parameter control, dynamic and static gap adjustments,to the unit which was finally able to smoothly carry full load. This paper summarizes the vibration characteristics of steam excitation in combined cycle steam turbines, which shed light on the treatment and prevention of steam excitation in similar units in the future.
