Analysis of Abnormal Decrease in Opening and Closing Speed of 220 kV Circuit Breaker
A circuit breaker is a protective device in the power system. In the event of a power accident, the circuit breaker needs to respond in a timely manner. Therefore, the mechanical characteristics of the circuit breaker are key to ensuring normal operation. This article analyzes a case of a 220 kV circuit breaker with a decrease in opening and closing speed.Through multiple adjustments of the opening and closing springs and further analysis of the structure,it is determined that the abnormality is caused by excessive friction resistance and jamming between the circuit breaker's air chamber connecting rod and the air chamber sealing element.By applying silicone grease to the air chamber connecting rod for lubrication, the opening and closing speed was restored, and the mechanical characteristic test data met the standards. The circuit breaker was able to be put into normal operation. This study not only solves practical problems, but also emphasizes the importance of regular inspection and lubrication, providing valuable experience for the maintenance of circuit breakers in power systems.
