Research on Multidisciplinary Geophysical Exploration of Deep Coal-Bearing Strata
Most coal mines are explored and developed in unexposed and semi-exposed coal measure strata, resulting in a large number of unexposed coal-bearing strata being covered.Compared with expensive drilling operations, geophysical methods can be more efficient and economical to discover deep targets such as hidden coal-bearing strata. This paper explores the coal-bearing strata in the Sihe mining area by comprehensive geophysical exploration method, and uses large-scale magnetotelluric(MT)to describe the geological structure and its profile. The spatial distribution characteristics of the coal-bearing prospective tectonic unit syncline in the Sihe mining area are delineated by aeromagnetic measurement.Through local exploration by controlled source audio magnetotelluric method(CSAMT)and magnetotelluric(MT),it is revealed that the coal-bearing target is available for drilling, and the drilling results verify the target identified by the comprehensive geophysical method. The case study shows that the multidisciplinary geophysical strategy can provide reliable results and reliable data interpretation for the exploration of deep coal seam resources.
