Research on the Consequences of Lock Over Accidents on Liquid Bulk Hazardous Chemical Transport Ships Based on Numerical Simulation
The CASST-QRA software was used to simulate the accident scenario of a liquid bulk hazardous chemical transport ship leaking and causing a fire or explosion in the lock,in response to the possible leakage accidents that may occur in the lock.The results show that accidents such as pool fires,flash fires,and steam cloud explosions that occur on hazardous chemical transport ships inside ship locks have serious consequences,especially in the case of complete rupture scenarios where the impact is wider.Based on simulation research,suggestions have been put forward to strengthen ship safety inspection and maintenance,introduce automated management methods,etc.,in order to improve the level of safety management and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment in the ship lock.
