Automatic Identification Method for Foreign Objects in Overhead Transmission Lines Based on Laser Point Cloud Data Processing
Foreign object identification plays an important role in ensuring the safety and stability of overhead transmission lines. Therefore, this study proposes an automated identification method for foreign objects in overhead transmission lines based on laser point cloud data processing. Firstly, automated acquisition of laser point cloud data for overhead transmission lines using airborne LiDAR scanners. Then, the spatial homogenization thinning method is used to process the laser point cloud data, and on the basis of reducing data redundancy, the target point cloud within the laser point cloud grid is automatically segmented. Finally, the automatic recognition of foreign objects is achieved through the fitting of two-dimensional straight lines in the laser point cloud data plane. The results show that this method can achieve the identification of foreign objects in overhead transmission line inspection, with high accuracy in automated identification.
