Application of Dual axis scanning sonar in Bridge Pier Scouring
In view of the high cost of diving exploration, limited operation time, unintuitive grating monitoring and defects in real-time continuity of multi-beam sounding monitoring, this paper adopts fixed-point static monitoring method to install two two-axis scanning sonar devices on designated piers, and the sonar probes rotate step by step at a certain horizontal Angle and vertical Angle.A complete three-dimensional point cloud image is formed by rotating the specified Angle interval horizontally and vertically. The col-lected data is converted from serial port server to network data and then remotely transmitted to the data receiving terminal through 4G DTU for processing, summary, analysis, mapping and display. The software and hardware integrated system can realize a large range, long time, high frequency and high precision unattended scour monitoring, and avoid the possible impact of the probe disassembly and installation on the consistency of the measured data before and after. At the same time, the fixed installation of sonar system over-comes the defects of other monitoring means such as unintuitive and untimely data, and can obtain the full coverage of the seabed to-pography data in the form of plane according to the specified time, and carry out real-time erosion monitoring of the seabed basic data around the pier. The monitoring system runs stably, the remote collection and control and the return data are normal, and the data ac-curacy can reach 0.1 m.The data point density can reach 1 m × 1 m.
