Chu State has a long-standing tradition in the study of celestial phenomena, which is reflected in the abundant descriptions of heavenly phenomena in the Chu Ci.Under the dual influence of shamanistic culture and rational thinking,Qu Yuan's attitude toward celestial phenomena is contradictory. He extensively employs mythologized celestial imagery in his compositions, yet he questions astronomical myths in"Tian Wen"(Inquiry of Heaven). The descriptions of celestial phe-nomena in the Chu Ci are characterized by lyricism and metaphorical language and have influenced the depictions of heav-enly phenomena in Han Dynasty fu literature in terms of diction, sentence structure, and overall composition.
