Analyzing the Differences between Humanistic Literary Theory and Ecocritical Literary Theory
As two guiding ideologies within literary theory,humanistic literary theory and ecocritical literary theory have played a significant role in societal development.In today's rapidly evolving socio-economic environment,these two liter-ary theories complement each other,enabling individuals to pursue personal life values while paying attention to ecological and environmental changes.This fosters a literary exploration from a human-centered humanism to an ecocriticism focused on the harmonious coexistence of all things in the world.This study conducts a comprehensive analysis and comparison of the two literary theories from aspects such as their essence,manifestation in literary works,and theoretical impact.It is found that significant differences exist between the two in terms of content,theoretical foundation,origins,expression,and influence.
