Epigraphic remains hold immeasurable academic value for regional historical and cultural research.The ability to interpret epigraphic literature is essential academic literacy for students majoring in history.Cultivating this ability not only enhances students'cultural literacy but also strengthens their practical skills.Incorporating epigraphic literature into practi-cal teaching involves innovative teaching methods,educational philosophy,and setting curriculum objectives,which actively guide students into the field,broaden their perspectives on epigraphic literature,and update academic concepts.In the histo-ry department of Shaanxi University of Technology,the interpretation of the Wumenyan epigraphs serves as a prime example of practical teaching endeavors.
