把信息技术应用于数学教学，促进信息技术与数学教学整合，其目的正如《基础教育课程改革纲要》所指出的，要“逐步实现教学内容的呈现方式、学生的学习方式、教师的教学方式和师生互动方式的变革”，“为学生的学习和发展提供丰富多彩的教育环境和有力的学习工具”。在数学教学中应用信息技术不及能改革教师的教学方式，还能改革学生的学习方式，使我们的教育教学工作更加符合《新课程标准》，让学生轻松、愉快地获取数学知识。
