Effect of deformation amount on microstructure and inclusion evolution of environmental friendly 1214Bi free-cutting steel
In order to study the influence of different deformation amounts during rolling on the microstructure evolution and the morphology and distribution of MnS inclusions of environmental friendly Bi bearing free-cutting steel,a single pass hot compres-sion experiment was carried out on the 1214Bi free cutting steel using the MMS-200 thermal simulation test machine. The results showed that different deformation amounts had no significant effect on the microstructure composition of the experimental steel, but with the increase of deformation amount, the proportion of small angle grain boundaries first decreased and then increased, and the evolution law of texture composition was {001 }<110>+{110}<001>→ α texture+Cube texture → γ texture+αtexture. When the deformation amount was less than 30%,the size of MnS inclusions was relatively uniform, and their shapes tended to be spherical and spindle. When the deformation degree increased, the segregation of MnS inclusions was serious, and the degree of fragmentation was also large.
