Design calculation and analysis of drum flying shear
Drum flying shear is the key equipment of the cold strip rolling line.Taking the galvanizing line of a steel plant in Tur-key as an opportunity,the drum flying shear with optimized oblique straight blade was designed based on absorbing the advanta-ges of straight blade and spiral blade,which realized the cutting of thin gauge strip.The design principles of the inclination angle of the oblique straight blade,as well as the calculation methods of shear force,motor speed and power were introduced.Com-pared with the spiral drum flying shear,the blade clearance of the oblique straight blades was not so uniform,but it also showed a certain pattern.The groove edge installed the blade was polished to achieve uniform blade clearance and realize the cutting of thin gauge strip.On the premise of meeting the structural design requirements,increasing the inclination angle of the blade can reduce the shear force,thereby reducing the motor power.The shear force was calculated by using Kololyov's formula during de-sign,and the cutting area was calculated by using three-dimensional software.The motor needs to overcome the shear force and the rotational inertia of the drum,where the shear force is proportional to the inclination angle of the blade,and the rotational in-ertia is proportional to the cubic speed of the strip.The design scheme of drum flying shear with oblique straight blade has been verified in the actual production and meets the design requirements.
