Study on surface oxide scale defect control of low carbon steel in short process of continuous casting and rolling
The formation of steel oxide scale in hot rolling process is affected by rolling process parameters, steel types, equipment and other factors, which easily leads to unqualified surface quality of strip and disorder of normal production of production line.Aiming at the problem of high degradation rate of low carbon steel strip in short process of continuous casting and rolling due to defects of oxide scale, based on the characteristics of production line and rolling technology, the formation reasons and control measures of oxide scale were studied. The results show that the oxide scale defects are mainly divided into three categories:plate system and, temperature system and descaling system. The oxide scale defect of the plate system is mainly forced into the willow leaf or spindle shaped oxide scales formed by abnormal rolling conditions of the roller table of the production line The oxide scale defect of temperature system is mainly affected by the rolling process system, the oxide scale defect of descaling system iron sheet is mainly caused by insufficient descaling equipment. The degration rate of finished strip due to oxide scale will be reduced from more than 10%to 0 by confirming the equipment before rolling, using reasonable rolling temperature and coiling temperature, and upgrading the descaling header equipment.
