Effect of cold rolling reduction rate on the microstructure and properties of 340 MPa HSLA strip
In order to study the effect of cold rolling reduction rate on the microstructure and mechanical properties of HC340LA cold rolled low alloy high-strength strip, two batches of strip from the same charge plan were rolled to the same thickness using the same hot rolling process and different cold rolling reduction rates, and the same continuous annealing process was used. The metallographic microscope, electronic tensile testing machine and rockwell hardness tester were used to test and analyze the microstructure and properties of the finished strip. The results show that when the cold rolling reduction rate is less than 60%,the grain structure of the finished strip is relatively coarse, and the mechanical properties are at the standard lower limit value. When the reduction rate reaches 65%,the grain structure of the finished strip is fine and uniform, with a grain size of about 11.5 levels. The finished strip yield strength is 369 MPa,the tensile strength is 462 MPa,the elongation rate A80 is 28.5%,and the hardness is 76.3HRB.All indicators are better than the product quality standards, and it has a good margin.
